There were two issues that I needed to address. First, the drilled hole for the replacement regulator attachment bracket was inline with the mounting holes. The regulator when attached to the hole interfered with my wire bundle. Therefore, I drilled a new hole off to the side of the bracket in order to mimic the original mounting bracket. Second, the replacement bracket is thicker than the original (nice), yet the extra thickness along with a grounding black block that is mounted to the top bracket-engine bolt prevented the original bracket mounting bolt from getting enough threads to securely hold the original bolt. Therefore I replaced the original bolt with a replacement bolt that is 1/2” longer. That solved the problem.
