This reversing gearbox allows you to easily convert an electric cart to gasoline, using a big block GX-style engine (390-500cc) up to 18HP. Without it, you have no way to change from Forward to Reverse and will only have one direction of travel and no torque multiplication or simple method to connect CVT clutches.
