Keep Your Golf Cart Battery Charged

A well-functioning battery is crucial for a smooth ride on your golf cart, especially when equipped with powerful engines like the Predator 670cc 22HP or the Zongshen 625cc 23HP, coupled with our installation kit and wiring harness. These engines boast an ample amp output, ensuring your battery stays charged effortlessly. We even sell a more powerful charging system (15amp) for the Predator 670, here.

However, if you find yourself struggling to maintain a charged battery, there are a few things to consider. First and foremost, examine the wiring. Ensure it's installed correctly following our detailed instructions. Additionally, verify the harness itself is in good working order. This can be easily confirmed with a multimeter.

Should issues persist, it's essential to inspect the charging system for any defects. If the problem persists after checking the wiring and harness, verify that the battery is in good condition and functioning normally. If it's still not working as expected, reach out to the engine manufacturer to explore the possibility of a replacement engine/charging system.

For those utilizing the Predator 420cc 13HP or the Predator 459cc 15.8HP engines, it's important to note that these engines lack a built-in charging system designed to keep your golf cart battery charged.

In this scenario, you have three options:

  1. Get Our Charging System: We now offer a charging system you can install on your 420 or 459, you can find the 18amp charging system for the 420 here. And you can find the 26amp charging system for the 459 here.

  2. Separate Battery Charging: This is the option we currently endorse, given its compatibility with our existing kit. There are various types of chargers available in the market that can effectively cater to this need. You'll need to periodically charge your battery with this option.

  3. Stock Starter/Generator: While an option, it's worth mentioning that we presently do not provide support for retaining the stock starter/generator. This route is best suited for those with the capability to construct their own bracket for this purpose. We're actively working on creating brackets that seamlessly integrate with our kit, allowing you to retain the starter/generator. However, please note that this option is still a few months away from becoming available.

For a hassle-free setup that guarantees consistent battery recharging, we strongly recommend the Predator 670cc 22HP installation kit. Its robust engine, combined with our kit and wiring harness, ensures you enjoy uninterrupted performance on the golf cart.
