Mixing Models: Golf Cart Mashups
We’ve encountered many golf cart owners who have so heavily modified their carts, we’ve started calling them Frankensteined carts. These brave souls often reach out, asking if our installation kits will work on their monstrous creations. And the answer is always the same: we have no idea.
Even with photos and detailed measurements of the engine bay and rear end, we can’t promise compatibility, nor can we provide guidance on which parts to order or how to modify ours to fit. It’s simple—if you have an EZGO '98 and need a replacement rear end, stick with an EZGO '98 rear end if you plan on using one of our kits. If you grab a Club Car '04 rear end, a Yamaha G16, or even an EZGO 2011 rear end, you’ll render your cart incompatible with our products.
For a headache-free upgrade, stick to the year and model of your cart. But if you feel like channeling your inner Dr. Victor Frankenstein and love the thrill of engineering challenges, go ahead and experiment, knock yourself out! Just know we won’t be part of those experiments.
If you want a smooth installation process, keep things simple. If you own a '98 EZGO, get yourself a '98 EZGO rear end. Sure, it can be tricky to find, but you have options—check eBay, Facebook Marketplace, or local golf cart dealers/shops. We promise, sticking to the right parts will help you avoid creating an abomination!
Happy building—and avoid the monstrous mistakes!
And Happy Halloween 2024!🎃
